Looking back at the Past…!

Last four months passed at a lightning speed; leaving behind with lot of memories to share. The last financial year’s treat to me was my transfer to Chennai..yes to The Hot, Hotter and Hottest city. My bro’s wedding, work and Transfer to Chennai ate my 3 months time like tsunami. Exactly One month short of 4yrs completion of my working , I shifted to Chennai. That was a moment of great relief; After 3 long years of waiting our R & D center at Chennai had come into functioning. Whatever was the work here in Chennai, the only thing that was running in my mind was to get rid of Mumbai office. 13th June 2010 was the day when we got independence.
As usual scrap the work thing…getting F****D is now a regular agenda in my work; Getting transferred to Chennai is really a big story. Once upon a time there were 70 champs all over India who got selected in this Company called Mahindra & Mahindra; we were assured that we will be trained in rocking Mumbai for one year and then will be transferred immediately to Chennai. Hearing this was like tasting honey and getting settled in Chennai was like Hot Cake what else do you want; to be near your home town Coimbatore. So, we started working; Year 1 passed we got confirmed; and we got transferred to Chennai in our dreams…and we dreamt thrice…and at last we got independence....!!! It was party time…!!!!
During this course of time, apart from working I also had a very big task of Teaching Geography to some of the ppl here in Mumbai office ( I don’t know how they passed Geography in their 10th..:). In their Map India had only 26 states; Karnataka, Andhra, Kerela and Tamil Nadu happens to be One State, Language spoken being Tamil, script being Jeelabi language and Chennai happens to be its Capital…Phoooo!!! So, Explaining them about districts in Tamil Nadu would be a very big Project; Though our new R & D facility happens to be in Kanchipuram Dist we call it Chennai; explaining them again about the Geography… ..That’s the biggest mistake you would ever do….!
